Note: I'd like to thank everyone who read this story since the first chapter way back in March of this year. I know it took me a while to finish it but it was all worth it in the end, right?

The Portal to Beyond: Chapter XXI A
or better known as The Battle Extra!

Everything was all set. The rules were laid down, the contenders were ready, the referee's hunger was sated. Actually, it was just slightly satisfied but that's another story, isn't it?

Goku stood in the middle of the area that everyone had designated the fighting arena. Goten was on one side while Vegeta was on the other.

"Alright, you both know the rules. Anything goes except killing!" He shot Vegeta an extra special look. "Do you understand?"

A brief nod from both of them as they got into position.

"Okay then!" Goku said cheerfully. "Go ahead."

The two crouched down and then took off towards each other.

"WAIT!!" A voice screamed out.

Veggie and Goten both halted immediately. Looking around at the crowd gathered around them, they sought out the source of the protest.

Then a pathway opened between Krillin and Yamcha. There was ChiChi, rolling pin in hand, looking as fierce as she always does. She marched right up to Vegeta and glared directly into his dark eyes.

Vegeta sighed impatiently. "What is it onna?!" he asked. "Don't you see that I've got a match to win."

"I just wanted to say one thing Vegetable Brain," she began while tapping the rolling pin against her upper arm, "If you seriously hurt my Goten there will be hell to pay!"

Gohan and Goku's eyes widened in shock. ChiChi never used profanity unless she was really ticked off. They began to edge back away from the fighting area. Everyone else, sensing their distress, soon followed.

Vegeta flashed her his usual smirk. "Accidents happen."

"Well!" She huffed. "Is this an accident?" And on that note, she raised her pin high and brought it down onto Veggie's skull.

Not even fazed, Vegeta's look instantly turned to one of rage. "How dare you strike a member of the royal family!"

She stood there, unafraid. "And? I'll do it again!"

That was about the moment that Goku thought that this had gone on quite enough.

"Okay ChiChi," he said trying to ease her anger. "Let them continue their fight."

"Nani?!" She shrieked, almost deafening him in the process. "I will not!"

"ChiChi please...."

"ChiChi please my ass!" She yelled again. Goku just sighed, picked her up, threw her over his shoulder, and started off. "GOKU! PUT ME DOWN. NOW!!!"

He shook his head and continued to the outer limits of the crowd. "Iie ChiChi. Gomen nasai."

Well that was that. She gripped her pin tighter and started to use it on Goku's head, emphasizing each of her words with a hard knock.

"Put. Me. Down. Goku. *NOW*!"
