Other: I'm going to eventually get degrees in software engineering and in website design and then get as far away from Michigan as I possibly can. I was thinking about Canada or England, actually.

Do you want to know more about me (though I highly doubt it)? E-mail me and I'll usually answer.

...the site
The Suto-ri Denkaku came to be because I was trying to get into the (Good) Fanfiction Webring and Trin-san won't accept multiple-author archives. As you can see, I still haven't been accepted (which used to piss me off but now I just don't care anymore). This site is the home of only my fanfiction. My original stories used to be here as well, but I had to do a website for a class and (since I like my sites to be something I would actually use after the class ends) I decided to separate my original stories from the Denkaku.

This site doesn't have a long and detailed history like the DBFL. celestial dragon is the third design and the only one I really like. The theme originated from the background I created. At first, it was going to have a strong Chinese theme and be called "forbidden dragon" (and still does, in a way, because of all the red), but I wanted to use large amounts of white in combination with it and a artist creating traditional Chinese-style artwork would never do that since red represents luck and purity while white represents death. There's more of a Japanese theme, but an artist creating traditional Japanese-style artwork wouldn't normally use as bold a color as red. So it's stuck in limbo between the two cultures. The characters I used are all katakana or hiragana and I tried to be as accurate as possible with the Japanese translations of my English page titles, not that you can really see them in the background. I also wanted to use kanji, but I have little knowledge of that writing system. (FYI: trying to come up with the Japanese equivalent of "fanfiction" was a little difficult as I didn't want to use the word "otaku" (obssessed fan). The closest I could come was "aikousha (enthusiast, devotee) tsukuribanashi (made-up story)" which explains why the there are so many characters.)

You can see a screenshot of version one here and version two here.
